Job Description

Summary

In conjunction with the mission, vision and values of Star Valley Health this position is responsible for assisting the Controller with various accounting and financial functions. Those functions include budget preparation and reporting, analytical reviews of data, and other general accounting responsibilities. This is an at will position.

Job Duties

• Assisting with the overall financial operations including accounting, budgetary, audits, and financial planning activities within the organization.
• Assisting the Controller to ensure the organization meets necessary financial regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Reconciles monthly bank statements including payroll, general and other.
• Prepares, enters and distributes general ledger journal entries for completion of the monthly financials and assists in preparation of the financials.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliation. Prepares account or sub-ledger analysis with strong audit documentation support.
• Prepares and maintains information for interim and annual audits and analyzes various accounts as needed.
• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Monitor and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly statistical and benchmarking reporting.

Requirements

Abilities & Skills:

• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge or computer applications in creating and maintaining spreadsheet, MS Excel, and data base files.
• Highly motivated, project starter.
• Multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon request and need

Experience & Education:

• Requires Bachelors in Accounting.
• Minimum three (3) years progressive accounting experience in complex environment.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred

Compensation details: 26.76-40.16 Hourly Wage
