Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring accurate financial management, efficient payroll processing, and smooth intercompany operations. Your expertise in accounting practices will directly contribute to the success of our global operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines. You will work closely with both internal teams and external partners, fostering effective communication and collaboration to drive results.
### Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Financial Force (Certinia) across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate posting of financial transactions.
- Oversee Accounts Payable processes for various countries, including vendor management and ensuring timely payments.
- Review employee expenses weekly, ensuring proper entry of VAT and GST amounts for employees based in the UK, AU, and Canada.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by reviewing account information, ensuring accuracy and consistency across records.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
- Complete month-end closing tasks, including bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, asset and depreciation tracking, AP invoice entry, and payroll adjustments.
- Monitor and process expenses, transfers, and deposits across multiple banks and credit cards in the UK, AU, and Canada on a daily basis.
- Update cash flow reports as needed, supporting financial planning for UK, AU, and Canada entities.
- Engage with external accountants and auditors, providing documentation and reports as required for regulatory and tax reporting.
- Review and process payroll for UK, AU, and Canada employees, making necessary adjustments and ensuring accuracy.
- Onboard new hires to payroll and process terminations as needed.
- Maintain and update project teams and rates in SalesForce (PSA) for accurate invoicing.
- Take on additional back-office duties as assigned to support the team.
### Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting-related role.
- 2+ years of experience with payroll, including international payroll (UK, AU, and Canada preferred).
- 2+ years of experience using Salesforce/Financial Force (Certinia).
- 2+ years of international accounting experience (UK, Canada, and Australia preferred).
- Experience in managing intercompany operations and financial transactions.
- Familiarity with UK VAT, Canada/AU GST returns, and filings is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of financial accounting principles and GAAP.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work under pressure.
- Proven experience in building relationships with remote teams.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
