Job Summary: As a Customer Service Merchant Representative at Universal Services, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding support to our merchant clients. Your role will involve managing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless experience with our financial products and services. A good credit score is required to fulfill the responsibilities associated with this position, given its significance in handling merchant accounts and financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support: Serve as the primary contact for merchants, addressing their inquiries and concerns related to financial products, services, and account management.
Account Management: Assist merchants with account setup, transaction processing, and issue resolution. Maintain accurate records of all interactions and transactions.
Credit and Risk Management: Maintain a good credit score and assist with evaluating creditworthiness for merchant accounts. Support risk management efforts and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve complex issues related to merchant accounts, transactions, and financial discrepancies. Escalate unresolved issues to higher management when necessary.
Communication: Provide clear and effective communication to merchants via phone, email, and chat. Ensure that all information provided is accurate and helpful.
Documentation: Accurately document all interactions and transactions within company systems. Generate and review reports related to merchant activities and financial performance.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of customer service processes and procedures. Stay informed about industry trends and company policies to provide up-to-date information.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in customer service, particularly within the financial or merchant services sector, is advantageous.
Credit Score: A good credit score is essential for this role due to its involvement in managing financial aspects of merchant accounts.
