Job Description

**Job Brief** The Dock Worker unloads all empty cases from trailers while keeping a supply of empty cases feeding into plant.

• *Responsibilities**
• Unloads all trailers of returned empty cases and properly disposes of returned product.
• Dump milk via Python and Clean Python as needed.
• Maintains area around dock and case room area in a neat and clean manner; disposes of trash.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks and assists others as needed.
• Responsible for food safety as well as product quality as presented during GMP training, HACCP training, SQF training, FSMA training and Chemical/Sanitation training.
• Be alert to any suspicious activities as per the 1st ALERT training.
• *Essential Functions**
• Talk, hear, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours / days to support business hours and needs.

• *Physical Requirements**

• Must be able to grasp, push, reach, or stoop/kneel/crouch.
• Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Lift, carry, push, pull up to 100 lbs. and/or drag up to 25lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate cooler temperatures (37 degrees in coolers).
• Work indoors/outdoors for all seasons.
• Work in wet, noisy environment.
• Climb ladders occasionally.
• *Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
• This is a full-time position; hours of work vary based on corresponding shift. Weekends and holidays based on business demands.
• *Preferred Education and Qualifications**
• No specific education/experience required; GED preferred
• Ability to pass certification on forklift.
