Job Description

smartdept. is searching for a Localization Operations Project Manager   for a global health and wellness client located in Ada, Michigan . The ideal candidate will come with 2+ years of relevant experience. This is a  full-time fully remote , 12 month contract opportunity  with the possibility of an extension . If local to Ada, Michigan then you will be expected to work onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Compensation for this position is expected to be $32-$35/hour depending on experience level and fit. 

The Localization Operations Project Manager reports to the Localization Manager within the Marketing Division. Responsible for internal operational procedures required to complete and deliver translation projects (in five additional languages) that accurately reflect messaging, content and communications needs in a variety of media types for the North American markets.

What You’ll Do:  

  • Responsible for translation project creation through delivery to include: Prioritization, scheduling, file analysis/preparation, task assignments, delivery.
  • Principal contact for internal localization team staff, internal clients and external LSPs and agencies.
  • Thrives in a fast paced, TEAM environment.
  • Has excellent functional knowledge of Publishing Software(s).

What You’ll Need:  

  • Experience with Translation Management Systems, Translation Memory, Terminology, Machine Translation (preferably RWS WorldServer and Studio Pro).
  • 2+ years of experience in a localization project management services position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Localization, Marketing, Business, or related field (Advanced Computing skills).
  • Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
