Physician Board Certified in Pediatrics for Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, GA
The Pediatric Medical Home provides outpatient medical care to eligible dependent children of active duty and retired military service members from birth to 18 years of age. We provide comprehensive, communicative, and coordinated care between the patient and the Primary Care Manager (PCM). The Medical Home is a new approach to health care delivery based on the concept that the patient is always at the center of every decision made regarding their medical care.

• Education:  Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada
• Residency- completion of an accredited General Pediatrics residency
• Board Certification- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Experience:  Providers must have completed a residency in General Pediatrics and practiced pediatrics as a resident or attending physician for no less than 12 months in the past 36 months. New graduates from GME programs are eligible.
• Licensure - Possess and maintain medical license, which must be current, valid, and unrestricted 
• DEA - DEA required
• Certifications-  BLS, ACLS, PALS must be AHA or ARC
• Citizenship- Must be a US citizen for security clearance

1. When on-call, the pediatrician covers all units (labor and delivery, nursery, general pediatrics, and ER consultation) with pediatric patients. This is a small hospital and that functionally entails the 4th floor (L&D and post-partum – including special care nursery), the 3rd Floor mixed med surg (typically 1-2 patients if any at all). The typical census is 6-8 patients between all units. There is a private call room with dedicated computer, TV, single bed, and private bath with shower. The call room is located on the 4th floor within the post-partum (isolated from patient rooms) area. Housekeeping services the call-room daily and will change linens after each use.
2. Call is either 12 or 24 hour shifts (provider preference) with shifts being 0630-1830 and 1830-0630 respectively. We are in-house during call hours along with ER physician, OB/GYN, CRNA during non-business hours.
3. Local NICU and PICU are in Savannah, GA with about 60-90 minute response time after being accepted for transfer.
