About the role

Gartner is looking for a well-rounded and motivated developer to join its Product Delivery Organization team which is responsible for developing web-based applications to support client engagement.

What you will do

Collaborate with product and design, build and test modern web-based applications for the Product Delivery Organization (Gartner.com, Search, Peer Community).

Build and architect front-end applications and UX component libraries to implement the Design and Production Teams specifications.

Work with Open Source technologies and applications using React/Node/JavaScript technology in a fast paced Agile/Scrum environment

Assist in defining software architectures - Collaborate with leads to explore existing systems, determine areas of opportunities

Follow coding standards, build appropriate unit tests, integration tests and deployment scripts (Webpack/Rollup/Docker) and review code by peers.

Translate designs and style guides provided by the Design team into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance

Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture or new technologies

What you will need

Strong coding professional with 4+ years of experience in software development modern front-end technologies. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and self-direction.

Must have

4+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following technologies: React, Node.js, Java, Angular, Vue.

Strong understanding of Functional Programming, Design principles and basement-to-top-floor web-app flow and building applications from scratch.

Experience leveraging Next.js, Sass/LESS, Material-UI (React UI framework), Jest for testing library, D3, Highcharts.

Who you are

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required

Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.

Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 100,000 USD - 149,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
