This position will have remote and hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need. This position will be required to report to the office address listed at least one day a week.

The Division of Oil and Public Safety has a promotional/transfer opportunity for CDLE employees. This position will provide technical support to the Conveyance program. Position must learn and maintain strong knowledge of all processes and regulations, codes, and standards related to the Conveyance program. Position will work closely with third party inspectors as well as conveyance staff to ensure that processes are followed.
The Conveyance Program protects the riding public and industry personnel in the State of Colorado from the hazards of dangerous conveyances including elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, wheelchair lifts, APM (i.e., the train at DIA) and other regulated conveyances. This program ensures that installation, alteration, maintenance, testing and annual inspection of regulated conveyances is completed according to the Colorado conveyance regulations, industry code and the standards adopted in statute and regulation; and that all conveyance contractors, mechanics and inspectors maintain a current license issued by OPS to ensure that the installation, alteration and maintenance of conveyances in the State of Colorado are completed by qualified personnel.
This position will conduct technical review of the submitted inspection reports for the Conveyance program and determine if deficiencies in the report warrant an audit of the conveyance and/or inspector for specific code items or potential violation of program requirements. Based on the finding of the technical review this position coordinates with the OPS Audit Inspector physically visiting the facility to request a verification of compliance with adopted codes in the Conveyance Regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews and processes information received on conveyance (elevators, escalators, lifts and APMs) inspection reports.
Based on industry codes and standards, enforces the conveyance regulations in regard to conveyance registration, inspections, permitting, and licensing.
Identifies the need for compliance audits of conveyances or licensed conveyance inspectors, contractors and mechanics.

Experience Only:Two (2) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position. Experience to include Customer Service in one or more of the following, Administrative Assistant, Office Support, Direct customer support working with internal and external customers, Help Desk, Call Center.
OR
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to two (2) years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Division of Oil and Public Safety regulations, codes and standards.
Experience interpreting and/or proofreading accuracy of legal documents or reports.
Experience with invoicing.

Technical Skills - This position requires strong computer and typing skills, including experience with MS Excel, MS Word, Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and the ability to navigate between several different software programs as well as Windows Explorer
